Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about EcoReKeg, Mini, couplers, propellant gas, documentation and everyday use.
The right setup depends on the beverage, volume, coupler and workflow.
How does the Bag-in-Keg principle work?
The beverage is filled into a high-barrier inner bag. Propellant gas presses against the outside of the bag and does not directly contact the beverage.
Which sizes are available?
The Eco range includes 20 and 30 litres. Mini solutions include 3 and 5 litres.
Which couplers are available?
EcoReKeg is available with A, D, G, S and K (KeyKeg) couplers.
Which propellant gas can be used?
Depending on the beverage and equipment, CO₂, nitrogen, compressed air or another suitable gas may be used.
What is the maximum dispensing pressure?
Eco models are specified for a maximum of 3.5 bar. Mini models are specified for a maximum of 2 bar.
Which beverages can use the system?
Potential applications include beer, cider, wine, kombucha, cold brew and soft drinks. Each combination should be assessed against product and process requirements.
Are the materials tested for food contact?
SGS reports cover tested materials and components under relevant EU and US FDA provisions, including migration testing and HDPE component tests.
Where can I find product data and documentation?
Product specifications and EU/FDA-related documentation are available on the Products page.
